Internet network marketing is truly a dream business. Network marketing provides the leverage from other people’s efforts. The internet provides the leverage from technology. Therefore, embarking on internet network marketing will provide the twin leverage from both technology and the marketing efforts of other people.

With internet network marketing, it is now possible to get one’s marketing message out to potentially thousands or even millions of people. According to Jack M Zufelt, goal setting and daily affirmations will come to nought without the core desire to succeed. When our core desire is absent, we can write ten goals and most likely we will only achieve one or two goals. The remaining eight goals, we will either miss or not even get started on them! This happens because we did not single out our core desire, and determine what we really want. When we have correctly isolated that core desire, we simply become juggernauts who cannot be stopped!

So you are looking to get involved in a network marketing business opportunity but you want to make sure you find the best company and products for you. You know what you want, BUT do you know what to AVOID? Here are 5 things to steer clear of when joining an MLM business opportunity.

#1 – The Fly By Night Company

In this industry (and really ANY industry) companies come and go. The last thing you want to do as a new network marketer, is invest your time and money into a company that is just a memory soon after you get started.

How do you avoid this?

Simply put – You do your research BEFORE you get involved in any network marketing business opportunity.

Check out the company’s financial history. How much revenue does it bring in a year? Has the company grown over the last few years? Have they done any lay-offs lately?

Companies that can “prove” their stability in their track record, make the best option for your network marketing business opportunity.

#2 – The Hyped Up Sponsor

Your sponsor just might be the most important decision you make with regard to your network marketing business opportunity, so you’ll want to choose wisely.

With so much hype spread around in network marketing, you want to partner with a sponsor who runs his/her business based on honesty, integrity and free of hype.

Empty and hype filled promises, will do nothing to help you grow your business.

#3 – The My Way Is The ONLY Way Upline

Network marketing is about duplication, but it is not about IMITATION.

You want to find an MLM business with an upline that encourages you to become an independent business person.

Someone who can show you the path they have taken, BUT also educate you on how to forage your own path to success.

# 4 – The Magician Sponsor (Now You See Them Now You Don’t)

So many Networkers have been in this situation. They join a network marketing business opportunity under someone who promises to guide them to success, only to never hear from them again after signing up.

And what happens to the newbie in this situation?

Building your network marketing business is very dependent on your ability to build a successful downline for yourself. If you cannot recruit network marketers under you, then you will not be a network marketer. Your downline is the structure, the framework of your entire network. Without it you will have no network.

These are 5 MLM marketing tips that will help you to succeed with your network recruiting methods.

1. You must be able to convey to people that the business and product line has great value. This will be the first thing on anyone’s mind. You must be able to show the prospects how valuable the products are above any others. Why the products are of high quality and what they offer to the market. Why the products create loyal customers and why the company is the best darn network marketing company that is in the industry.

The prospects will all be interested in the opportunity and compensation plans that company has to offer them, but above all, they want to know if the products the company markets are good. When you paint a picture of the the products being the best available and has a growing market, then you are doing your job.

2. Once you have sold the prospect on the product and company, you need to let them know that they have commitment and support from the company with regards to training.

No one wants to join a company only to find themselves left on their own. The new recruits need training in order to become solid network marketers. Many of the prospects you will be dealing with do not know the first thing about marketing and will be looking to you for starting things off on the right foot. It will be up to you as their sponsor, to ensure that you will be there for everyone you sign up. This is about being responsible and being a good sponsor.

3. Showing all of your recruits the different options of network marketing techniques that are available on the Internet and off the Internet.

There are many different options to network market with. It will be up to you to show the recruits what methods are available for them to choose from. Everyone is different. What works well for you might not be something that someone else is interested in duplicating. When you are confident that your downline can succeed, then they will probably surprise you and be a success. If you are open and honest with everyone,  they will return the favor.

5. Wet your downline’s appetite from time to time. Whether it is a new sales contest or a company retreat or convention. When you find out about something on the horizon, teasing your downline with some anticipation for something great is invaluable. It will always create an air of excitement and motivate everyone for more sales.
