What I mean is, if you market a health juice that helps someone with their joint pains, all you have to do is find people who have joint pains and they will buy from you.

Or, if you market a weight loss product, all you have to do is find people who already want to lose weight. Or who talks about losing weight.

2. The next tip for succeeding in MLMs is to identify the right people. This goes hand in hand with the first tip. By finding the right people (or your target market), you won’t have to “sell” the person on your products. They will eagerly buy from you.

3. Another tip to succeed in your business is to have a system. If you have a system, you won’t have to worry about finding people. They will find you. So, make sure you have a system set up for your downline to succeed. When you do, you will be able to attract dozens of people into your business.

When I think “network”, I think “people”, and when I think “people”, I think “yikes”! This is an internet business I’m involved in – not a brick-and-mortar business where I have to deal with people!? Well, the good news for all of us non-people people is that it’s true – you can be involved in an online network marketing or MLM business without having to deal with people face-to-face. But it’s also true that building a network of people in your business that you communicate with either face-to-face, on the phone, or via email can get your business booming and can create a lifetime of wealth for you and those on your team – both financially, and personally. What is a network marketing business all about anyway and how does it differ from a traditional retail business?

Network marketing is really all about relationships, partnerships, and joint ventures with the organization you are involved with – Success University to use my own example – as well as the customers, affiliates, or down-lines that will distribute that organization’s products and/or services. In this way, it really is a people business because you have to choose the people you will work with on your team, and nurture those relationships through constant communication to ensure the success of your entire team. Being successful yourself starts with being in love with what you do, and being in love with your products and services. The best network marketers know their products and services inside and out, and they truly believe in them, and in the organization they represent. You don’t have to be in love with your team, but you do have to love them by showing that you care just as much about their success as you care about your own.

Why choose network marketing over a traditional retail sales business? The choice is really yours because some people just prefer direct product sales for big- ticket items and that’s just the way they are. But there are many advantages to network marketing that far surpass the advantages of traditional sales. When you sell products, you may have to spend a lot of money on your inventory. Finding people to join you in this venture can be troublesome, and you won’t make any significant residual income doing this. When you get involved in multi-level marketing on the other hand, you may sell smaller-ticket items, but products that people tend to re-order, which in the long-term can result in much larger profits than the traditional business. You will get a significant residual income being a network marketer, and when you achieve your own success, you become a teacher to those on your team, sharing your ideas on how to reach important goals and dreams.

When you get to a point where you can help others understand what network marketing is all about, and can show them how to do it, then you are already starting to build a solid network by being a true leader. The importance of the network you build and how you do it cannot be undermined, for once you have found enthusiastic people for your team who are also finding enthusiastic people for their teams, then you tap into the real potential for business growth and prosperity. Building a network of leaders means giving your time, energy, and effort, and finding people who will give their time, energy, and effort. If you think about what it takes for you to be inspired and energized by a new business opportunity, you will notice that it usually involves realizing the value of the products and services, and knowing how being involved in the business will improve your quality of life. When you have found that sense of worth in what you do, you will be energized to do it, and teach others how it’s done so that they, too, will put the time, energy, and effort into building onto the network of dreams. Unfortunately, most MLM companies’ network marketing training programs consist of barely motivational meetings on conference calls. A point of debate about network marketing training is if it’s possible for a “15 Second Appointment Close” to attract people to look at a business opportunity. Make a list of the people you truly would like to have at your network marketing meeting, and create a list of about 30 names. But a lot of the training out there is really good, and I personally have learned a lot from the trainers in the Network Marketing industry. It is recommended that network marketers looking for further training thoroughly investigate the network marketing training programs in which they are interested and exercise caution in giving out their credit card information.

Use the audios all the time as they are duplicatable, and they work the same everytime as you are learning the network marketing business. So many folks in Network Marketing will have the same year they had last year, and the year before, because they have not set any goals that will focus and inspire them to greater success in their Network Marketing business.

You have to control your emotions in Network Marketing, because they will determine about 80% of your first initial success, then they will determine about 80% of the rest of your success when you start your Network Marketing and MLM career. No product line will ever determine your Network Marketing success. No upline will ever determine your Network Marketing success.

There is NO Success in Network Marketing recruiting without having resistance, and you will never grow in your skillset if you don’t encounter the word ‘NO’ and negative responses. Focus in on the RIGHT tactics and perspective, and you will find your recruiting will explode with the “Success STUFF” in MLM and Network Marketing. If you do, then the Yeses you will get will EXPLODE with your MLM and Network Marketing business.

There are many people who are involved with MLM and other forms of network marketing and most of them will give you a very emotionally charged argument that this is a legitimate form of business.

There are businesses who have legitimate products and services and they use network marketing to distribute them. These are products and services that people buy because they find value in them. Some of these businesses have been around for a long time and have been very successful. Of network marketing companies these are the minority.

Most network marketing companies have products and services that most people would not buy if it didn’t have an opportunity attached to it. The cost of the product or services are often too high, of poor value or in some cases there is no product at all. Programs like these pop up all the time and they typically don’t last long. A year or two at the most.

So where do we draw the line between a legitimate business and a ponzi scheme pyramid? Some would say that it is a matter of whether the product is a good value that people would buy even without a business opportunity attached to it. Some will say as long as there is a product it is legitimate. Then there are many who say none of that matters and it they are all ponzi scheme pyramids.

It really just comes down to a matter of opinion. People have their own opinions on how to judge the industry and that’s probably not going to change. What is probably more important is the fact that most people who get involved with these programs never make much money with them and most lose money. There is a small percentage who make a lot of money but more than 95% of people fail when they get involved regardless of how stable the companies are, how they are structured or how good their products are.

So does this mean the industry is a scam? Not necessarily, some people do well with it. But these are professionals with specialized skills and many years of experience. What may be considered a scam is how these programs promote themselves as a way for average people to make easy money. In reality network marketing is very difficult for most people. There are much easier ways to make money but when an opportunity doesn’t depend on selling the opportunity in order to make money, you don’t hear about them much the way you do with network marketing.

Regardless of whether you believe MLM and other forms of network marketing is a ponzi scheme pyramid or a legitimate business model, the fact is most people don’t make much or any money with any of them.
