“What do I do when my warm market is gone?”

Your business is not going to fail because your friends, family, or co-workers do not want to join you. Just accept this as normal, and that that they are not right for your opportunity at this time. In addition, although your warm market can be your best option for customers and business partners, sometimes it can be the most challenging.

What else can you do to generate new prospects?

Some people like to buy leads. There are several different types of leads. Some lead companies collect data from the web, while others do infomercials and direct mail campaigns to acquire the leads. Then they sell these home based business leads to people like you.

If you are like most people, then it was probably through the people you know. Furthermore, most people also often find the best jobs, clients, and friends through people they already know. Your business is no different.

On a parallel note, here is something that is often overlooked; the network of people who are NOT interested in your business. What about them? After all, they also know people you don’t, and for this simple reason alone, you should be interested in them.

Just because someone you approach isn’t interested in your business, does not mean that his or her friends or family will not be interested. When someone says “no” to your business, thank them for listening, let them know how committed you are to the business, and that you would have enjoyed working with them had they been interested. Then ask them if they know of anyone, a friend, a colleague, or a relative that might be interested in the opportunity. Be bold and ask their permission to contact their friends, family members, and associates. Ask them for a list of people that they think might be a good fit. Although we are advocates for avenues of networking such as this, we offer a few words to the wise about using social networking website to do business.

There are TONS of people in network marketing already taking advantage of social networking websites and most of them are doing it wrong. So in a way, you have a tremendous advantage if you do it the right way. Don’t be like most amateur networkers and make the same mistakes they are making. There is an abundance of people making wild income claims that deface the value of network marketing because they simply are not true. Furthermore, most of them do not take the time to build the relationship before offering their opportunity.

Just because you have the power of the internet at your fingertips, does not mean you don’t have to build rapport. In fact, it means you need to put MORE effort into doing so. You will work with a team that will guide and direct you, and give you the time to make the mental, emotional and physical changes required to be successful in business. Also, it generally doesn’t cost an arm and a leg to get started. A traditional business can cost tens of thousands of dollars to get started, and you are on your own. With anywhere from $100 to $500, you can start a new home-based business and get it moving toward success.

Now, I never said it would be easy to do this, but if you are willing to work hard, be teachable, and step out of your comfort zone, you will never have to fear the economy, the possibility of losing your “secure” job, or losing your retirement and investments again. Wall Street won’t have as great an impact on this type of business as it does on traditional business or jobs. Network marketing as your small business may be just what you need to build your future.

According to a 2006 Yahoo poll, two-thirds of Americans want to venture out and create their own home business.

Most of us have been approached by someone, maybe a friend or family member, who is trying to sell us the latest vitamin or home product. They have just joined “the best company” out there and you need to get in on this deal before it’s too late.

They are Network Marketers.

This is the vision most of us get when we hear the words Network Marketing or Multi-Level Marketing.

But the truth is, when done right, Network Marketing can be one of the most powerful business plans available today. The most important part of the previous sentence is “When done RIGHT”.

Networking allows anyone and everyone the chance to create their own business. Do it for very little money down and start part time after work or on weekends.

The problem:

The lure of easy money and testimonials of a few people who are making 6 figure incomes or tens of thousands of dollars every month have drawn thousands to the ranks of network marketing. They have been promised that they too can achieve this amazing wealth but are never trained to do it. Hence around 95% of them fail.

They warn their friends to stay away and bad mouth any person or plan they see that mentions network marketing. Network marketing has become the most maligned industry in the U.S. today.

So why should you want to start a business that involves Network Marketing. It is in your best interest to help those below you and build them up. It’s a business plan of helping others instead of climbing over and stepping on those below you to reach the top.

The only requirement is that you do your work like a business and keep records of all the things you do. A journal is a great way of doing this and it’s easy too!
