Tired of traditional network marketing methods, many network marketers are turning to internet network marketing to market their business opportunity and products. There’s a lot of hype about how easy it is to market on the internet, making internet network marketing seem like it will take minimal effort to build a network marketing business. But is it too good to be true?

Well, yes and no. Just as traditional network marketing methods require practice and effort to perfect, marketing on the internet does too. There is always a learning curve with anything new, and if you don’t have much technical knowledge, you will have your share of frustrations as you learn the ropes. It will take time and effort.

Internet network marketing is often said to be more cost effective than traditional network marketing methods, as well. You no longer have to buy hundreds of samples in the hopes that someone you give a sample to will like it enough to buy. And you can quit spending money on leads that are often not really looking for a business at all. Keep in mind, though, that in order to make money online, you have to get traffic to your website. And while there are free and low-cost ways to get traffic, they are time-consuming.

Despite the fact that it’s not as easy as all the hype might lead you to believe, internet network marketing is worth it! The major thing that makes internet network marketing different than traditional methods is that you are able to reach people who are already interested and looking for what you have to offer. While traditional network marketing methods often focus on creating an interest in your prospect, the prospects you generate through online marketing methods already have an interest–that’s why they give you their contact information…or even better, contact you!

Another major advantage of internet network marketing is the fact that you don’t have to leave home to do it. One of the major reasons people join a home based business opportunity is because they want to be at home! While traditional network marketing methods often require quite a bit of time away from home to do presentations and attend meetings, network marketers who market on the internet never have to leave home.

Network marketing has always been a business of building relationships, and internet network marketing is no different. Although your prospects may not physically meet you or hear your voice as the first method of contact, you must build a relationship with them through your correspondence. In fact, if done correctly, it is actually better than spending a lot of time building relationships with people in the hopes that they will join your business or purchase your products. Why? Because you are able to spend your time building relationships with people who want what you have. It does the sifting and sorting for you.

So back to the original question: is internet network marketing too good to be true? Well, if you’re looking for a way to make tons of money without putting in any effort, the answer is yes (network marketing in general is too good to be true if that’s what your looking for). On the other hand, if you’re willing to put in the effort to learn how to market effectively on the internet, you can reap the benefits of network marketing without participating in the things that leave a sour taste in people’s mouths when they think of network marketing!

A good MLM training newsletter is worth a million dollars to a distributor in Network Marketing. Unfortunately, most MLM companies’ network marketing training programs consist of barely motivational meetings on conference calls. A point of debate about network marketing training is if it’s possible for a “15 Second Appointment Close” to attract people to look at a business opportunity. But a lot of the training out there is really good, and I personally have learned a lot from the trainers in the Network Marketing industry. It is recommended that network marketers looking for further training thoroughly investigate the network marketing training programs in which they are interested and exercise caution in giving out their credit card information.

Use the audios all the time as they are duplicatable, and they work the same everytime as you are learning the network marketing business. So many folks in Network Marketing will have the same year they had last year, and the year before, because they have not set any goals that will focus and inspire them to greater success in their Network Marketing business.

You have to control your emotions in Network Marketing, because they will determine about 80% of your first initial success, then they will determine about 80% of the rest of your success when you start your Network Marketing and MLM career. No product line will ever determine your Network Marketing success. No upline will ever determine your Network Marketing success.

There is NO Success in Network Marketing recruiting without having resistance, and you will never grow in your skillset if you don’t encounter the word ‘NO’ and negative responses. Focus in on the RIGHT tactics and perspective, and you will find your recruiting will explode with the “Success STUFF” in MLM and Network Marketing. There are businesses who have legitimate products and services and they use network marketing to distribute them. These are products and services that people buy because they find value in them. So does this mean the industry is a scam? Not necessarily, some people do well with it. But these are professionals with specialized skills and many years of experience. What may be considered a scam is how these programs promote themselves as a way for average people to make easy money. In reality network marketing is very difficult for most people. There are much easier ways to make money but when an opportunity doesn’t depend on selling the opportunity in order to make money, you don’t hear about them much the way you do with network marketing.

Regardless of whether you believe MLM and other forms of network marketing is a ponzi scheme pyramid or a legitimate business model, the fact is most people don’t make much or any money with any of them.

3. More Leverage To Free Up Your Time

One of the best advantages to using new school network marketing strategies is that many of your prospecting tasks can be automated.  For instance, let’s say your marketing system requires you to approach a prospect, invite them to get more information and give a business presentation.

Using old school methods this would mean, you call someone on the phone, (and maybe leave several messages before you talk), get to know them a bit, and if they qualify invite them to a presentation, then give a 30 to 45 minute presentation.  And you would do this with each and every prospect. 

This process could take many hours and sometimes with very little to show for it.

Which means new and struggling networkers wind up falling for the latest push button system and ultimately get fed up with MLM.

How Do You Overcome The New School Method Learning Curve

The answer to that is SIMPLE although not easy. 

You have to learn how to make those great automated systems to work for you.

The quickest way I have found around learning how to generate my own leads and convert them into customers is to follow the lead of someone who has done just that with loads of success.

So if you have an upline in your company who uses the internet and other new school methods to build their business, then give them a call and work one on one with them.
